the man who road through mass at night
but there was another who missed the spotlight
Revere and Dawes road off to warn the sons of liberty
Sam Adams and john Hancock at risk of capture
were saved by the bravery of the nigh riders
a rest they took for one hour to tend the horses soar and bleeding
to concord they road warning the towns of the oncoming british
with two lights in the tower they were coming by sea
they picked up t third member of the ride
a Dr. Prescott made the duo a trio and of they road
but being stopped before lexington all with different results
Prescott was free to go, Dawes was thrown by his horse
he limped to lexington and Reveres ride was over
he stood in his place before 10 british soldiers
they had done there job the message was out
they finished the journey and the fighting had begun
yet only the one in the clink got the fame
